Nikol Pashinyan, Managing to Escape, Reached the Airport and Fled, Says Protest Participant
Nikol Pashinyan has somehow managed to escape and reach the airport. This was announced a short while ago by one of the participants of the protest near Zvartnots Airport.
The participant noted that if Pashinyan has signed any anti-Armenian document, the sky over Armenia will be closed to him. “With this action, we are also calling for those who are negotiating with him to understand that this person does not represent Armenia; any signature or negotiation from him is unacceptable for Armenia and the Armenian people, and it will be contested tomorrow. He is not a legitimate leader. We will not allow a deserter to gamble with the future and fate of our state and people,” he stated.
“Since Nikol has managed to secretly reach the airport, we are halting the protest. If he signs an agreement in Moscow that goes against the interests of Armenia and the Armenian people, the sky over Armenia will be closed to him; he will not return to Armenia,” he said. Earlier, it was reported that citizens had blocked the road leading to the airport to prevent Nikol Pashinyan from departing to Russia, where a meeting is scheduled to take place with the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan.
