Children Driven in Wrong Directions by Orders, Says Father of Fallen Soldier

Parents of soldiers are conducting a protest in front of the Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee. The father of fallen soldier Mikaitar Mikayelyan, Gari Mikayelyan, told reporters that his son was killed on October 6. According to the information they have, the body was found and buried.

According to Gari Mikayelyan, it is not the parents who should gather information and bring it to the Investigative Committee, but the investigative bodies should perform their work.

“There are high-ranking officials and generals who should be held accountable. The children have been driven in wrong directions by orders, and because of incorrect commands, we have a high number of casualties. Around 40-50 percent of soldiers are either killed or injured, and others are disabled. Even today, mentally and morally pressured children are being taken to Artsakh. As soon as the injured are able to stand, they are immediately taken to the front lines,” said the father of the fallen soldier.
