Urgent Gathering at 12:00 PM Near the Ministry of Justice: Ruben Melikyan
An urgent gathering is called for 12:00 PM near the Ministry of Justice building.
This was announced today, January 8, during a Facebook Live broadcast by Ruben Melikyan, co-founder of the legal organization "Legal Path," who noted that there is a significant police presence in front of the Ministry of Justice building.
"We came here this morning with a small group, intending to raise questions with the Minister of Justice regarding quite truthful information that circulated in the media yesterday, suggesting that the text to be signed on January 11 is already prepared and is being kept secret within the Ministry of Justice. The purpose of this is to align certain provisions with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia. We noticed the large police contingent here, which reinforced our conviction that there is a problem and that the draft is likely located at the Ministry of Justice," he stated.
Ruben Melikyan emphasized that a gathering will take place at 12:00 PM near the ministry, demanding information on this topic. "We no longer want to live in a false reality, where for 44 days we were winning, and then suddenly we woke up to a defeated and humiliating situation. We demand information about what kind of agreement is being discussed, what we are conceding, and so on," Melikyan added.
