Former High-Ranking Police Officer Sayat Shirinyan Charged

The investigation into the case of former high-ranking police officer Sayat Shirinyan, who made public calls for violence, continues at the Serious Crimes Investigation Division of the Investigation Committee in Yerevan.

Based on sufficient evidence, he has been charged under Article 226.2, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (public calls for violence, justification or promotion of violence). As a precautionary measure, he has been given a signature not to leave.
