Cars Collide on Berd-Artsvaberd Highway: Casualties and Fatalities Reported

On December 29, at 11:05 PM, a call was received at the Tavush regional crisis management center reporting a traffic accident in the "Ghmeshkut" area of Artsvaberd village.

A firefighting and rescue unit from the regional emergency management department was dispatched to the scene. It was found that at the 15th kilometer of the Berd-Artsvaberd highway, a collision occurred between a "VAZ-2121" (driver: Razmik P., born in 1978) and a "Toyota RAV4" (driver: Garegin Ch., born in 1975). Razmik P. died at the scene.

The driver of the "Toyota RAV4", along with passengers Sargis Ch. (born in 2012) and Gayane T. (born in 1979), were extracted from the vehicle by local authorities and transported to Berd Medical Center, where doctors assessed their health condition as satisfactory.

The rescuers disconnected the power from the vehicles, shut off the gas cylinder valves, removed Razmik P.’s body from the car, and brought it to the ambulance.
