Hadrut Mayor Vahan Savadyan Confirms Azerbaijani Forces Captured Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd Villages
Hadrut Mayor Vahan Savadyan confirmed that Azerbaijani forces have captured the villages of Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd. In Savadyan's statement, he noted that between December 12 and 13, the Azerbaijani army violated the ceasefire regime, particularly in the western part of the Hadrut region, where the incidents occurred.
According to Savadyan, the villages of Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd and the adjacent areas were under the control of Armenian military forces until December 12, 2020. However, the Azerbaijani army, by violating the agreements and using various types of weaponry, moved from the outskirts of Hin Tagher towards Khtsaberd, capturing these villages and surrounding territories.
There are injuries reported on the Armenian side. Savadyan expressed hope that the upcoming observation (presumably referring to the OSCE) would adhere to the principles of the ceasefire agreement and facilitate a return to positions by both conflicting sides to those held before November 10, 2020.
The Hadrut mayor has also published a map, which we present below.
