Over 60 Million Drams Spent on New Deputy Prosecutor's Residence and Official Car During War
The Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, who oversees the functions directed at the confiscation of illegally acquired property, has not spared expenses during the wartime. According to Tert.am, the Prosecutor's Office spent over 60 million drams on the newly established structure.
The head of this specially created structure, aimed at eliminating illegal properties, purchased a Toyota Camry for official purposes, worth 10 million drams during the war. Furthermore, newly appointed prosecutor Srvouhi Galayan will have a separate residence, for which the Prosecutor's Office has allocated over 50 million drams.
Galayan will work outside the Prosecutor's Office building, in a separate building next to the Dual-Track Management building, which is being renovated to serve as her residence. Despite her official responsibilities, Tert.am previously reported that Galayan's husband earns only 6 million drams annually, yet he has become a co-owner of two apartments worth 323 million drams within one year. The legality of the property acquisition has not become a subject for discussion.
In 2019, Srvouhi Galayan's husband became a co-owner of two apartments on Verin Antarrayin Street, purchasing them for 206 million drams and 117 million drams respectively. However, the issue of the legality of Galayan’s husband’s property is not being discussed, despite media reports that this money and property partly belong to a former high-ranking official.
