Congress Halts Arms Sales to Turkey, Says Clark Cooper
The U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs, Clark Cooper, stated in a press briefing that the U.S. Congress has blocked the supply of American weapons and military equipment to Turkey.
“Yes, Congress has suspended arms sales to Turkey,” the U.S. foreign policy official succinctly announced.
