Stepanakert Mayor Visits Russian Peacekeepers
On the occasion of Peacekeepers' Day, Stepanakert Mayor Davit Sargsyan visited the deployment site of the Russian peacekeepers, conversing with them and expressing gratitude on behalf of the residents of Stepanakert for their humanitarian multifaceted mission.
This was reported by the Stepanakert Municipality. “Today is Peacekeepers’ Day. Today, the people of Artsakh feel the significance of this holiday on their own skin, as the forced cessation of an unequal war marked the entry of Russian peacekeepers into our country,” the municipality stated.
The mayor congratulated the guarantors of the ceasefire in the region. “Davit Sargsyan visited the deployment site of the Russian peacekeepers, talked with them, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Stepanakert residents for their humanitarian multifaceted mission, and hoped that with their support, stable peace would prevail in Artsakh,” the statement reads.
