Advice to the NSS Press Center: Consult NSS Leadership Before Denying Facts - Bishop Arshak Khachatryan
Yesterday, I found myself in an unusual situation, involuntarily attracting public attention online due to publications regarding my summons by the NSS. This was clarified by Bishop Arshak Khachatryan.
The statement includes: “Considering that during this time I have received numerous phone calls, some of which I could not respond to, I find it appropriate to present the following in general terms:
First, I sincerely thank everyone who has expressed their support and inform that there is no reason for concern. I am at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and continue my service.
Regarding the information published, I would like to state that days ago, I had a meeting with high-ranking representatives of the NSS, not at my initiative or at a location I proposed. I do not wish to elaborate further on the details. If necessary, the NSS representatives themselves can speak on this matter.
I would advise the NSS Press Center to consult with the NSS leadership before denying the reality.
As for my positions and convictions regarding the Prime Minister's resignation, they remain the same. I will continue to serve my Church and my people, relying on God's blessing and support. May the Lord bless our country and our people.”
