For the Armenian side, the ceasefire is currently a priority: The Prime Minister's spokesperson on Aliyev's statement
Azerbaijan has already violated the humanitarian ceasefire twice, and against this backdrop, President Ilham Aliyev's words resemble wordplay. This opinion was expressed by Mane Gevorgyan, spokesperson for Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.
It is noteworthy that Ilham Aliyev stated in an interview with Fox News that Baku is ready to agree on the conditions of the ceasefire regime. According to him, Armenia must declare its adherence to the principles jointly developed by the United States, Russia, and France.
“Yes, we are ready to go for a ceasefire and negotiation process. For the Armenian side, the ceasefire is currently a priority,” Gevorgyan said.
She emphasized that the Armenian side will only believe in Aliyev's intentions when the Azerbaijani side stops firing. However, all of this should be seen, in fact, not just in words.
