Foreign Minister Meets with OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs
On October 23, during a working visit in the United States, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Andrew Schofer (USA), and Stefan Visconti (France), as well as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Personal Representative Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The interlocutors discussed the operational situation in the conflict zone of Nagorno-Karabakh. Minister Mnatsakanyan expressed deep concern regarding Azerbaijan's failure to adhere to the ceasefire agreements reached on October 10 and 17, emphasizing that Azerbaijan's attempts to resolve the conflict through military means pose a challenge for the entire region.
The parties reaffirmed the necessity of implementing the agreements on the cessation of hostilities and the immediate establishment of a stable ceasefire maintained by verification mechanisms. The importance of continuing the peace process exclusively within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship was highlighted.
