Significant Advancements by the Defense Army in the Northern Direction: Hovhannisyan
Fighting continued throughout the night and into the morning. During the night, the adversary attempted to accumulate forces along the Araks River and advance. Our reconnaissance units timely highlighted the enemy’s actions and inflicted severe damage on the grouping with precise artillery fire, completely destroying the entire group. This was stated by the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, during a briefing.
“Azerbaijani units frequently attempt to exploit the border along the Araks, regarding which we called on the Iranian side to monitor these actions and prevent them from crossing the river,” he said.
Speaking about the advancements of the Defense Army’s units, Hovhannisyan noted that the Defense Army has made significant advances in the northern direction and improved important positions.
The Ministry of Defense representative added that throughout today, the Azerbaijani armed forces have launched strikes against the civilian population, Shushi, and other settlements using long-range missile systems and various air attack methods.
“The battles are difficult and severe; the enemy is employing significant forces and resources. Our troops continue to confidently achieve victories across different fronts,” he stated.
