Turkey Sends Around 1500 Syrian Mercenaries to Azerbaijan
Turkey has sent approximately 1500 Syrian mercenaries to Azerbaijan to take part in military operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. They underwent training for up to two months in Syria, according to reports from Foreign Policy.
According to the source, they arrived in Turkey beforehand to familiarize themselves with the terrain and weapons, and were transferred to Azerbaijan on September 25. Although they were offered a significantly high salary of $1500 against the backdrop of uncontrollable unemployment in Syria, they now regret entering into such a deal, the newspaper reports.
