France Emphasizes the Urgent Cessation of Hostilities: Phone Conversation Between Nikol Pashinyan and Emmanuel Macron
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has had yet another phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. The two leaders discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the developments occurring in military operations.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for France's principled and constructive stance regarding the unacceptability of unleashing war. Both sides deemed the involvement of foreign terrorist fighters in military operations to be unacceptable.
President Macron emphasized the importance of an urgent cessation of military hostilities and the resumption of the peace process, in accordance with the statement made by the Presidents of the co-chairing countries of the Minsk Group on October 1 of this year.
Prime Minister Pashinyan deemed the infiltration of Turkey and its sponsored terrorists into the region as unacceptable, highlighting that without the expulsion of these destabilizing forces, it is impossible to restore regional security. In the context of establishing peace, Nikol Pashinyan stressed the importance of close cooperation among the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and their countries.
