It is Absolutely Condemnable for Azerbaijan to Shell Journalists Conducting Professional Work in Artsakh: Armenian Ombudsman
It is absolutely condemnable for Azerbaijan to shell journalists conducting professional work in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). According to current reports, on October 1, two journalists from the French newspaper "Le Monde," a reporter from 24News.am, and a cameraman from Armenia TV were injured, while some representatives of the media came under targeted fire.
Furthermore, Azerbaijani armed forces also targeted the vehicle transporting journalists from the international agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) conducting a journalistic mission in Artsakh, resulting in severe injuries to journalists. The condition of the correspondent from Le Monde is critical, and he is undergoing surgery at a medical center in Stepanakert.
The journalistic group was wearing special clothing and had press insignia. The journalists' vehicle that came under shelling also had the "PRESS" insignia. All of this clearly indicates indiscriminate targeting of civilian settlements.
