Askeran's Ivanyan Community After the Shelling: PHOTOS
The Azerbaijani armed forces shelled the Ivanyan community in the Askeran region today, resulting in destruction within the community. Cameras captured several unexploded shells from heavy artillery.
It is worth noting that on September 27, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a large-scale offensive in Artsakh, targeting the civilian population as well.
The Artsakh defense forces have shot down 11 enemy helicopters, 4 planes (3 of which were Su-25), 96 drones, 184 armored vehicles, mostly tanks, one aircraft, 82 vehicles, 10 armored transporters, one TOS-1A heavy multiple rocket launcher system, as well as 2 Smerch and 1 Uragan type multiple launch rocket systems.
The enemy has suffered over 1280 fatalities, of which 180 were in the direction of Karvachar, and more than 2700 injured. Preliminary data indicates that there are 103 fatalities on the Armenian side and nearly 200 injured, 120 of whom are still receiving treatment, while the rest have recovered and returned to duty.
The Azerbaijani armed forces have also targeted military and civilian infrastructure in Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the death of one civilian in the Vardenis region and seven in Artsakh.
Journalists from both foreign and local media have been injured as a result of the Azerbaijani shelling.
Martial law was declared in Armenia and Artsakh on September 27.
