From Now On, Speeches from the National Assembly Podium Must be Given with Masks
Anna Kostanyan, a member of the Bright Armenia party, attempted to remove her mask while giving a speech from the National Assembly podium, but was reprimanded by Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan.
Mirzoyan declared that masks must be worn throughout the session as well as during speeches from the podium. Kostanyan argued that she could not speak with the mask on due to difficulty breathing.
“Let’s agree: from now on, everyone must wear masks while giving speeches from the podium,” Mirzoyan addressed his colleagues. As strange as it may seem, fellow parliamentarians, including Kostanyan, supported him.
