A New Medical Center is Being Built in Martuni, Torosyan Monitors Construction
Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan has familiarized himself with the construction work of the Martuni Medical Center. The construction of the new medical center in Martuni began in July 2020. This information was shared on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Health.
During his visit to the construction site on his way to Artsakh, Minister Torosyan stated that a new multi-functional medical center with a capacity of 65 beds, compliant with all modern international standards, is expected to be operational by July 2022. The center will serve the population of Martuni city and the surrounding region in the Gegharkunik province.
The construction of the Martuni Medical Center, based on a standard project, is being carried out within the framework of the World Bank-funded program “Disease Prevention and Control.” From the design phase to the completion of equipping the medical center, all works are coordinated by the program implementation office of the Ministry of Health.
The minister will also attend the ceremony for the handover of ambulances and reanimobiles donated by the Government of Armenia in Artsakh tomorrow.
