Tragic Car Accident in Aragatstotn Province: 60-Year-Old Driver Crashes Mercedes into Concrete Barrier, 1 Dead, 3 Injured

On September 6, a tragic car accident occurred in Aragatstotn Province, as reported by SHAMSHYAN.com.

Around 4:20 PM, Samvel Mnatsakanyan, a 60-year-old resident of Vagharshapat, lost control of his Mercedes vehicle. The accident took place at the 2nd kilometer of the Artani-Gyumri highway when he crashed into a concrete barrier under yet undetermined circumstances, veering off the right side of the road and ending up in a field.

The accident resulted in injuries to passengers, including 35-year-old Arevik M. from Yerevan, 60-year-old Vera M., 5-year-old Samvel M., and 86-year-old Marmar M., all from Vagharshapat. They were transported to the Talin Medical Center for treatment.

While the investigator was completing the inspection of the scene and the vehicle was towed to the Talin police department, the hospital reported that Marmar M. had succumbed to his injuries.

In response to the incident, senior investigator H. Vardanyan has initiated a criminal case under the provisions of Article 242, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, and it will be transferred to the Talin investigative division of the Criminal Investigation Committee of Armenia.
