Pope Francis Calls for Prayers for Lebanon
Pope Francis has called on the international community to pray for Lebanon and the victims of the powerful explosion that occurred in Beirut. This was reported by the Reuters news agency.
“Let us pray for the victims and their families, let us pray for Lebanon, so that with the commitment of all its social, political, and religious sectors, the country can withstand this tragic and painful moment and overcome this severe crisis with the support of the international community,” said the Pope.
It is worth noting that the death toll from the explosions in Beirut on August 4 has exceeded 100, over 4,000 people are injured, and there are hundreds of missing persons.
