Blast in Beirut Injures Prime Minister's Wife and Daughter; 50 UN Staff Affected
In a powerful explosion that occurred last night in the port of Beirut, Lebanon, a United Nations interim force ship was damaged, and crew members sustained injuries. Al Jazeera reports on the incident.
The media outlet notes that a total of 48 UN staff members and 27 family members were injured as a result of the blast.
Al Arabiya further reports that the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Hassan Diab's wife, daughter, and advisors sustained minor injuries in the explosion.
