Lebanon's Kataeb Party Leader Nizar Najarian Killed in Beirut Explosion

Nizar Najarian, the Secretary-General of Lebanon's Kataeb Party, has died as a result of the explosion that occurred at the Beirut port on Tuesday. This was reported by the TASS agency, citing the Al-Arabiya television channel.

Earlier, the channel had reported that Najarian had sustained serious injuries and was in critical condition, unconscious.

It is notable that a powerful explosion took place near a naval base in the Lebanese capital’s maritime port. Reports had previously indicated at least 10 fatalities and hundreds of injuries.

The country’s Health Ministry has stated that hospitals in Beirut are overwhelmed with casualties.
