Romanos Petrosyan to Be Dismissed from the Position of Kotayk Governor Tomorrow
Today, the newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reported that Kotayk Governor Romanos Petrosyan might be appointed as the Minister of Environment. In an interview with ArmLur.am, the governor stated that there are currently no official developments regarding this matter and declined to comment on the news.
In a separate conversation with ArmDaily.am, the Prime Minister's spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan mentioned that she cannot confirm or deny this information. "If such a decision is made, there will also be a corresponding decision from the Prime Minister, which will be published," she noted.
In this context, the issue of dismissing Kotayk Governor Romanos Petrosyan has been included in the agenda of tomorrow's cabinet meeting. According to circulating rumors, he will be appointed as the Minister of Environment.
It is worth noting that on May 5, by the initiative of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the decree of President Armen Sarkissian, Erik Grigoryan was relieved of his duties as Minister of Environment. During this period, the responsibilities of the minister are being handled by the First Deputy Minister Vahe Jilavyan.
