Deputy Mayor Dismissed with a Reward of 1.8 Million Dram
The city hall seems quite generous when it comes to rewarding officials who are leaving their positions. As previously reported, Deputy Mayor Hayk Sargsyan concluded his term on July 15 and will move on to another job in the private sector, according to panorama.am.
On the very same day, Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan signed an order to reward Hayk Sargsyan with 1.8 million dram. It is noteworthy that apart from this bonus, Hayk Sargsyan was also rewarded with 1.8 million dram a few months ago, in April. With the order 431-A issued on April 20, the mayor rewarded both his deputy Hayk Sargsyan and his advisor Karen Hambardzumyan, each receiving 1.8 million dram. The total reward for these two amounted to 3.6 million dram from the community budget.
Prior to this, Marutyan's advisor Karen Hambardzumyan had been appointed as a judge of the Court of Appeals by a decree from the President of Armenia.
