Call for Restraint and Adherence to Ceasefire Obligations: Dmitry Peskov
Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of Russia, addressed the escalating tensions along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border during a meeting with journalists. According to Peskov, the border skirmishes are a cause for deep concern, and Moscow is prepared to engage in mediating efforts to resolve the situation.
“We are deeply concerned about the firing that took place along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. We call on both parties to demonstrate restraint and adhere to their obligations under the ceasefire. Russia, as a co-chair of the Minsk Group, is ready to exert mediating efforts for a resolution,” Peskov stated.
It is noteworthy that on the night of July 14, as well as in the morning, the adversary resumed fire towards the Tavush region. Civil infrastructures of the Berd community were targeted. The Azerbaijani side reported 11 fatalities, including high-ranking military officials.
