False Bomb Threats at Dalma Garden Mall and Mega Mall Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reported that on July 6, false alarm calls were received regarding the placement and existence of bombs at the Mega Mall Armenia and Dalma Garden Mall shopping centers.
This information came from the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on July 6. At approximately 1:30 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received information from the police indicating that a message had been circulated on an online platform, claiming that bombs had been placed on the 1st and 2nd floors of Yerevan's Mega Mall Armenia, set to explode at 1:50 PM.
Rescue teams, including one combat unit from the Fire and Rescue Division of the Emergency Situations Ministry, specialized rescue groups, and psychological support instructors, were dispatched to the scene. Emergency responders and police officers conducted an evacuation, safely relocating around 350 citizens.
Additionally, search operations for bombs were carried out by dog units from the rescue service and police. Following the search, no bombs were found at the Mega Mall Armenia.
At 1:55 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received further information about a bomb supposedly being placed at the Dalma Garden Mall entertainment and shopping complex in Yerevan. A rescue unit from the Fire and Rescue Division was sent to the scene, and evacuation efforts led to the safe relocation of approximately 500 citizens. Similar to the previous location, no bombs were found during the examination.
