66 Patients Being Treated for Coronavirus at Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital

As of July 5 at 11:30 AM, 66 patients infected with coronavirus are being treated at the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital, of whom 64 are residents of Shirak Province. This information was provided by the Gyumri Regional Administration.

“Since March 1, a total of 4,922 samples have been taken in healthcare facilities in Shirak Province and the regional center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. From May 12 to July 4, 3,568 tests were conducted in Gyumri alone, with 21 new cases of coronavirus reported on July 4,” the statement reads.

Currently, 1,101 citizens are under home self-isolation in the province, among whom 255 have tested positive but are asymptomatic, with oversight provided by primary health care services. A total of 309 residents of Shirak Province have recovered from the virus and been discharged from the hospital. Additionally, 43 patients have been transferred to the capital. There have been 24 reported deaths.
