Martuni Medical Center's Newly Established Department to Soon Admit First Coronavirus Patients
The Minister of Health of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, visited the Martuni Medical Center on July 2 to familiarize himself with the establishment of a department intended for the treatment of coronavirus patients.
The Gegharkunik Province Administration reports that the Minister was accompanied by the Governor of Gegharkunik, Gnel Sanosyan. The Minister and the Governor toured the area of the department, where active construction and furnishing work is being carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Gegharkunik Province Administration. They spoke with the management of the medical center and the construction workers, discussing options to resolve any emerging issues.
According to Andranik Harutyunyan, the director of the Martuni Medical Center, the construction, technical upgrading, and furnishing work is nearing completion, and the 50-bed department, which has a separate entrance and is designated for the treatment of coronavirus patients, will admit its first patients in the coming days.
