Arsen Torosyan is in Court

The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction has commenced a court session concerning former Deputy Minister of Health Arsen Davtyan and Razmik Abrahamyan, the director of the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology.

During the session, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan was summoned to court as a witness. The court hearing is closed to the public. It should be noted that while the court has banned video recording of the proceedings, reporters are allowed to cover the session.

According to the indictment, Arsen Davtyan, as an official, received a particularly large bribe for providing sponsorship in the line of duty and for using his official position to facilitate certain actions. The indictment states that Razmik Abrahamyan, as an official of the Ministry of Health, provided Arsen Davtyan, who coordinates the work of maternal and child health services and the funding activities executed by the ministry, with a particularly large bribe.
