Earthquake 3 km Southeast of Marmarashen Village
On July 2, at 06:11 local time (02:11 GMT), a 2.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded by the Seismological Network of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations at geographical coordinates of 40.05° North latitude and 44.51° East longitude, 3 km southeast of Marmarashen village in the Ararat province of Armenia, at a depth of 10 km. The intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral zone was 3 points.
The earthquake was felt in the cities of Artashat and Dvin, as well as in the villages of Marmarashen and Araksavan, with an intensity of 2-3 points, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
