Yerevan Mayor Accused of Inactivity by David Khajakyan
Since June 12, no new decisions or directives from the Mayor of Yerevan have been published on the official website of the city hall. David Khajakyan, the head of the "Lusik" faction in the Yerevan Council and a member of the "Lusavor Armenia" party, made this announcement on his Facebook page.
He specifically stated: “Since June 12, no new decisions or directives from the Mayor of Yerevan have been published on the official website. Therefore, either the Mayor of Yerevan is inactive, or the relevant department is violating Article 49, Part 2 of the Yerevan Local Self-Government Law, which states that such acts must be published on the official website of the city hall within a week. Perhaps the reason is that there is some interesting directive in the form of bonuses among them? Or is this merely a disregard for the requirements of the law and one’s own responsibilities?”
