David Tonoyan Had a Phone Conversation with His Lithuanian Counterpart

On July 1, Armenian Minister of Defense David Tonoyan had a phone conversation with Raimundas Karoblis, the Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

During the conversation, the Armenian Minister expressed gratitude to his Lithuanian counterpart for the assistance provided by the Lithuanian government to Armenia in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, particularly for humanitarian aid and for facilitating the transfer of a team of specialists to Armenia via a Lithuanian Air Force aircraft.

Minister Tonoyan pointed out that these actions by the Lithuanian side are a testament to the warm and friendly relations existing between the two countries and peoples.

The interlocutors discussed matters pertaining to Armenian-Lithuanian cooperation in the field of defense, emphasizing the importance of resuming planned activities that had been suspended due to the pandemic. They expressed confidence that following the overcoming of obstacles created by the coronavirus, high-level political and military dialogue would also resume.
