Sedrak Arustamyan Has Not Testified Against Gagik Tsarukyan, Lawyer Claims
“I have attended all of Sedrak Arustamyan’s testimonies over the last one and a half years—his statements made to various investigative bodies and during inquiries, and at no point has Sedrak Arustamyan made such a declaration,” said Sedrak Arustamyan’s lawyer, Hovik Sukiasyan, in an interview with Yerevan.Today.
This statement comes in response to media reports claiming that Sedrak Arustamyan testified that approximately 120 companies registered in his name actually belong to Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia faction in the National Assembly.
According to the lawyer, no such testimony exists. Sukiasyan further addressed the claims regarding the 120 companies allegedly registered under Sedrak Arustamyan’s name, asserting that the information is entirely false and expressing confusion as to who benefits from disseminating such misinformation.
“No such number exists. Sedrak Arustamyan is neither a shareholder nor an owner of that many companies. The information is so absurd that I cannot even comprehend the logic behind it. I also do not understand the motive or reasonable expectation behind the dissemination of this misinformation,” Sukiasyan added.
