EU to Open Borders to Citizens of 14 'Safe' Countries from July 1

The European Union has announced which countries' citizens will be allowed entry into EU territory starting July 1. According to BBC News, this involves 14 countries that have been recognized as 'safe' amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The United States, Brazil, and China have been excluded from the list.

The EU has stated that it is ready to include China on the safe countries list if the Chinese government reciprocates by granting travel permissions for EU citizens.

The list of 'safe' countries established by the EU includes Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, and Uruguay.
