Deadlines for Pension and Benefit Applications Extended to September 1
Taking into account the spread of the new coronavirus in Armenia and aiming to prevent possible crowding in the territorial departments of the Social Security Service, several changes have been made regarding the deadlines for restoring, reassigning, recalculating, or changing the type of pensions and benefits. As a result, citizens will not be required to visit territorial departments, including the territorial centers of integrated social services.
This was reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
Thus, if the application deadline for assigning a pension or benefit, restoring the right to receive a pension or care benefit, resuming payment (payment of unpaid pensions or care benefits), assigning a pension and care benefit by proxy, recalculating the pension, or changing its type expires in March, April, May, June, July, or August 2020, new applications can be submitted until September 1, 2020.
If the deadline for determining disability expires in March, April, May, June, July, or August 2020, it will be extended until September 1, 2020.
All families registered in the family poverty assessment system, whose registration deadline expires in March, April, May, June, July, or August 2020, can be registered until September 1, 2020. Until that date, the payment of benefits will not be interrupted due to late registration.
At the same time, it is reminded that the payment of pensions and benefits for June will be carried out in the Republic without delays and uninterrupted.
It is also reminded that applications can be submitted online for specific programs (link: http://online.ssa.am/), particularly for the one-time childbirth benefit, childcare benefit for children under 2 years old, and one-time burial benefit applications.
