A Drinking Water Pipeline Will Be Constructed in the Communities of Tsaghkahovit and Gegharot
As part of the 2020 subsidy program aimed at the development of economic and social infrastructure in the communities of Aragatsotn Province, a drinking water pipeline approximately 4.5 km long will be constructed in the two settlements of the consolidated Tsaghkahovit community, with 3 km in Tsaghkahovit and 1.5 km in Gegharot. This information was reported by the Aragatsotn Regional Administration.
The government of Armenia will co-finance 60% of the funds necessary for the implementation of the project, while the community will invest 40%. As a result of the construction and renovation work, water loss will be reduced, and an additional 106 families in the two communities will be provided with drinking water.
The decision to address community issues within the framework of subsidy programs was made by the local council of the respective community, taking into account the opinions of residents and the prioritization of issues.
Additional information regarding other project proposals submitted by the communities of Aragatsotn Province will be provided later. The subsidy programs are carried out in collaboration with the Government of Armenia, the respective community, and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, along with the Aragatsotn Regional Administration.
