Former President of Kyrgyzstan Sentenced to 11 Years and 2 Months in Prison
The former President of Kyrgyzstan, Almazbek Atambayev, has been sentenced to 11 years and 2 months in prison for the illegal release of criminal authority Aziz Batukaev. This information was reported by Interfax.
The court has decided that the former president should serve the sentence with the confiscation of property and the revocation of his state awards.
The state prosecutor had sought a 15-year prison term for Atambayev, along with property confiscation.
