5 Days Ago, Marutyan Allocated Around 10 Million AMD to Purchase a New Service Vehicle, Khajakyan
David Khajakyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council from the 'Luminous' faction, wrote on his Facebook page: 'Do you remember that Nikol Pashinyan stated in his candidacy for the mayor of Yerevan that service vehicles should be reduced by 70%? Now, as his appointed mayor is in office, the exact opposite is happening. If we accept that the 70% reduction was an exaggeration, we must note that Marutyan not only did not reduce the number of vehicles but also attached to officials what remained in the fleet and was not being used, thereby not incurring costs. Just 5 days ago, Marutyan reduced a number of spending articles and allocated around 10 million AMD to purchase a NEW SERVICE VEHICLE. It seems the coronavirus crisis should influence everyone's decisions, except for Marutyan's. Instead of redistributing or, why not, reducing vehicles, Marutyan decided to allocate additional funds for buying a new vehicle. By the way, all of this is taking place against the backdrop of a significant decline in the city’s revenues.
