The Court Hearing of Robert Kocharyan's Case Postponed Due to Pandemic
The court hearing of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, has been postponed. This was announced by Kocharyan's legal team.
"Dear colleagues, we inform you that due to the new strain of the coronavirus pandemic, the court hearing scheduled for June 9 in the case of the alleged overthrow of the constitutional order has been postponed," the statement says.
It is noteworthy that recently, during a closed-door session, the Administrative Court granted the request of Robert Kocharyan’s lawyer, Aram Orbelyan, stating that Kocharyan would continue to remain in the "Izmirlian" Medical Center until the end of the pandemic.
Robert Kocharyan is accused of overthrowing the constitutional order in the context of the March 1 criminal case.
