VIDEO: Footage Released of Trash Bins Being Burned at Tumanyan and Nalbandyan Streets Intersection
As previously reported, on May 28, four trash bins located at the intersection of Tumanyan and Nalbandyan streets in the capital were set on fire, damaging the glass windows of a nearby supermarket.
The Yerevan Municipality informs that approximately 95,000 drams is spent from the community budget for the acquisition of each bin. The municipality also warns that in every case of damage to community property, a report is made to the police, and they are diligent in ensuring that those who damage public property are held accountable.
According to a statement released by the police the day before, a young man, aged 26, was apprehended on June 1 at 6:30 PM on Heratsi Street on suspicion of committing the act, and he provided a confession. It was revealed that he committed the act alongside a 23-year-old woman, who also gave a confession.
The municipality has also published footage of the incident.
