Dear MPs, dear ladies and gentlemen, a mask is not an ornament; please continue to wear your mask. This was announced by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, during a session of the National Assembly.

“Why are you taking it off, Ms. Samsonyan? If you don’t want to wear it, just leave. What’s the point of taking it off?” Mirzoyan said, addressing Ani Samsonyan, an MP from the Bright Armenia faction.

Samsonyan replied, “Sometimes, one needs to breathe, Mr. Mirzoyan.”

“I see, I’ve noticed that you’ve been taking it off from time to time... I’m not a despot; I see that people sometimes take off their masks, but I’ve seen it prolonged,” Mirzoyan retorted.
