«Joxovurd». Changes in the City Hall Website: Following the Competition
«Joxovurd» newspaper reports that yesterday at the city hall, a competition was held for the position of director of the “Greening and Environmental Protection” State Non-Commercial Organization. Among the six candidates, two participants emerged victorious: Ara Agayan and David Melkumyan.
One of them is expected to be appointed as director by the Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, within three days. According to widespread information, Ara Agayan is a former advisor to the mayor and now a friend of judge Karen Hambardzumyan.
However, it turns out that everything has not gone as smoothly as one might think. Initially, Ani Khachatryan, a member of the Yerevan Council’s “Luyis” faction, raised several issues in an interview with «Joxovurd».
“There were complaints that participants from previous competitions were unable to take part in this competition due to a lack of information. They submitted applications to the city hall, yet the competition was not canceled. I would like to note that for the competition, they only needed to study the laws; the questions were based on the law, and no development programs were presented. This means we cannot know what kind of managers they will be,” noted Ani Khachatryan.
