Heroin, Methamphetamine, Marijuana: Police Uncover Illegal Drug Trafficking Chain

The Department of the Criminal Police of Armenia, along with the Drug Enforcement Unit and the Arabkir Division, has uncovered another illegal drug trafficking chain through joint operational-search activities and cooperation with the investigative body. This was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

On April 21, in the Arabkir administrative district, two men were discovered and detained on suspicion of drug possession, with a personal search revealing various weights of substances resembling heroin and marijuana. Operational-search activities continued.

The police obtained factual data regarding from whom the detained men had acquired the substances. Another individual was identified and detained on suspicion of drug possession, use, and distribution, along with his vehicle. During the search of this man and his vehicle, various weights of substances resembling heroin and methamphetamine, as well as knives, a baton, and other items were found.

Based on a court order, a search was also conducted at the residence of the detained individual. Various weights of substances resembling heroin, methamphetamine, and marijuana, as well as psychoactive pills and other items, were again discovered. The man has been arrested, and examinations have been initiated. The pre-investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
