40-50 individuals sleeping at Domodedovo refuse food due to Facebook posts
Armenian citizens in Russia continue to spend nights at Domodedovo Airport while waiting for their flight back to Armenia. In an interview with Tert.am, David Tonoyan, co-chairman of the 'Union of Armenians of Russia', mentioned that around 40-50 people are currently staying at the airport.
Addressing circulating rumors about individuals refusing the provided food, he noted that they had indeed rejected the food sent by the embassy yesterday, but were convinced to accept it afterward. Today, the embassy advised that no food should be sent. The reason for this refusal stems from negative comments being made about them.
Tonoyan stated that the embassy has been sending representatives daily since the beginning and has been in contact with them, yet no consensus has been reached as these individuals have chosen to remain at the airport. 'It's not that they are sitting there without money; they are resolving their concerns quite well,' he added. Tonoyan also mentioned that no flight has been arranged so far.
