Number of COVID-19 Victims in Turkey Reaches 1643
As of April 16, a total of 125 people have died from coronavirus (COVID-19) in Turkey. This was announced on the official Twitter page of Turkey's Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, as reported by Ermenihaber.
The minister's post indicated that 4,801 new cases of infection were confirmed from 40,427 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. During the same period, there were 125 deaths among infected individuals, while 1,415 patients recovered.
According to official data, a total of 7,089 patients have recovered from the pandemic in Turkey up to today. Additionally, 1,854 patients are currently in intensive care.
Recent statistics indicate that Turkey has reported 74,193 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 1,643 deaths. The total number of tests conducted has reached 518,143.
