Search Warrant Issued for Gagik Beglaryan
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, on March 23, a search warrant was issued by the Main Directorate of Criminal Police of the Republic of Armenia for Gagik Beglaryan, a 56-year-old resident of M. Khorenatsi Street in Yerevan.
According to sources, Beglaryan is wanted under Article 179, Part 3, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code (misappropriation or waste in especially large amounts) and Article 308, Part 2 (abuse of official authority that has recklessly caused serious consequences).
Sources indicate that the pre-investigation body has applied to the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court, which has granted the request and chosen detention as a preventive measure. If G. Beglaryan, who is a former Minister of Transport and Communications, is found or voluntarily presents himself to law enforcement, he will be transferred to the “Nubarashen” penitentiary.
