140 Armenian Citizens Transferred to Armenia, Embassy Reports
As a result of negotiations with Georgian authorities, it became possible to provide a corridor through Georgian territory for the transfer of 140 Armenian citizens who had been stranded in the Russian-controlled area of Upper Lars for several days. They were transferred to Armenia using 5 buses and 4 minibuses. This information was reported on the Facebook page of the Armenian Embassy in Georgia.
The Armenian Embassy coordinated the reception of Armenian citizens in Georgia and their transportation to the Bagratashen checkpoint, providing them with food and essential supplies, as well as ensuring sanitation measures at the stopover in Georgia.
This transfer was carried out on an exception basis.
