Serzh Sargsyan's Office Issues a Statement

The third President of Armenia and Chairman of the Republican Party, Serzh Sargsyan, is in daily communication using modern means with the leadership of the political force he heads, responsible officials, and supporters from the Republican Party's central office. He holds meetings as necessary and closely monitors the developments around the world due to the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the domestic situation in Armenia. This was announced in a statement from the office of the third President of Armenia.

The statement further mentions: “At the suggestion of Serzh Sargsyan, the ‘Light’ Cultural, Scientific, and Educational Foundation, along with party members and specialists with experience and knowledge in various fields of public administration, is analyzing and developing proposals regarding crisis management in state defense, security, economic sectors, education, healthcare, social protection, and other areas in the current situation. They are considering both short-term and long-term strategies, taking into account the ever-changing trends in the world as well as emerging new risks, challenges, and opportunities.

These proposals are continuously presented to the Armenian government, aimed at navigating the country smoothly and safely out of the challenging situation and uniting all possible forces. The third President of Armenia is confident that all public and political forces, individuals, organizations operating in the diaspora, and our compatriots should act on the principle of national consolidation in this situation, for the benefit of Armenia, its citizens, and the entire Armenian people.”
