Robert Kocharyan's Lawyer Aram Orbelyan Sues Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan

Robert Kocharyan's lawyer, Aram Orbelyan, has filed a lawsuit against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan regarding the March 1 case. He demands a retraction of what he describes as defamatory information and monetary compensation for moral damages, as reported by Armtimes.com.

Orbelyan specifically considers Pashinyan's statement made during the Yes campaign rally in Kajaran on March 10 to be defamatory. The Prime Minister claimed that Kocharyan had 'accessed the Constitutional Court multiple times when the March 1 case was being examined there, which was not recorded according to the established procedure.' Pashinyan further remarked that 'the police explained that the assistant or chief of staff of the President of the Constitutional Court mentioned that he is the chief's student, let him come, don’t register him.'

According to the law firm 'Koncert Dialog,' of which Orbelyan is a senior partner, that part of Pashinyan's speech is aimed at substantiating the inappropriate conduct referenced and, as a consequence, justifying the 'Yes' campaign's approach during that period.
